RefugeeYouth is a place where we can make friends, have new experiences and learn from each other
Creative activities help us to explore our inner feelings and cope better with difficult circumstances
Who are we?
RefugeeYouth is a national charity that aims to combat the alienation that young refugees in the UK can experience, by supporting different opportunities for their development, inclusion and integration into the wider community.
Our diverse range of activities include:
Weekly social nights
Creative skills workshops
Fun, food and friendship!
We have more than 400 members from 40 countries. Let’s see what some of them have to say…
Getting involved in RefugeeYouth motivated and inspired me. I realised there were young people who were proud of who they were and who wanted to help others, and I wanted to be part of that.
Abdul, Young refugee
It was really professional and fun. I felt safe and encouraged, not pressured, to join in. It was a great workshop, absolutely superb. The skills and confidence of the leaders were excellent.
Being part of an organisation that asks us to get involved in making the world a better place makes a big difference to our lives and makes us feel good about ourselves.
Youth leadership is at the heart of all our work
We run a range of different projects, including weekly youth groups, arts events, summer programmes, advocacy projects and research projects. All our activities offer opportunities for young people to take the lead.
