IRONS IN THE FIRE: SHAPING THE FUTURE.

APOW group met on Tuesday 8th November to discuss and focus on the challenges and propose solutions by using sticky notes. “Timing”, “creative projects”, “having a common aim” were some of the challenges that came up but the key root problem highlighted by most of the group was “Planning for a big group”.

From the outputs of the group and experiences I had with other groups, I believe the hypothesis to solve the main problem is to plan different activities that suit every interest in different rooms to accommodate every person.

We did try the hypothesis last Friday’s session and the outcomes were amazing! Every individual chose an activity suited to their preferences e.g. cooking, drama, collage making, photography and games and everyone delivered their talents to the table.

APOW is important because it allows us to think as one, plan future activities of the group and welcome new people. Also, APOW is family to us. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are, the ones who would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what! Improving is essential for the growth of the group.

There is still one more challenge I still think about: “why are human rights difficult to explore or develop?” it’s a question I leave with you my readers…!
