[fusion_text]On Sunday 30th April, we created a graffiti mural in Croydon. We used ‘What do you appreciate?’ as our theme. During the process of creating the mural, we got together to find out more about mural art and how to present our mural.  We came up with ideas for themes and drew pictures which later became stencils that we used to paint words with. We decided on the theme of ‘What do you appreciate?’ because it makes you think deeply about what you’re thankful for in your life.

We learnt how to use the spray cans and then for the large mural on the wall we took turns to paint the different sections with different colours- it was fun! We used cameras to film the painting process and we had music playing. We used our stencils to paint words into the mural- for example, family, love, friendship- as examples of what we appreciate in our lives.
During the day, seeing each other laughing and enjoying themselves was the most beautiful sight!
When we finished we were very impressed with how good the mural looks and how the colours all stand out. Hopefully many people walking past will notice the colourful display and think about the question! The Mural looks amazing and we will never forget that day 🙂
We’d like to say a big thank you to Jane for giving us the opportunity to create our own mural.
