“We did it!” APOW’s first football team played a 1 day 5 a side tournament in Wembley and won it! Congratulations to the amazing team who developed into excellent players! They had to fight through the group stages but as we progressed the team built better team spirit and drive and won the final with ease!
The tournament was organized by the Alive and Kicking charity, who make durable footballs in Africa promoting jobs and education.
The players developed captaining skills, team work, and discipline while having fun and working together to achieve the goal of becoming champions. In this tournament, to become champions they played 7 games in 1 day without losing any!
We are now looking for the next football challenge!
