On 12th December Refugee Youth staff and members of the APOW (Amazing People of the World) youth group led a workshop for Goldsmiths masters students studying Applied Anthropology and Community Development/ Community Arts / Youth Work.  The workshop was fun, engaging and educational in line with Refugee Youth’s approach, which is radical and non-oppressive. The session leaders led activities exploring Refugee Youth’s mission to break down isolation, combat alienation, support opportunities for development as well as creative learning. For example, we took part in theatre forum, defined ‘Refugee’ in our own words and also imagined the life of a young refugee both in their home country and here in the UK.
