COVID-19

The safety of our young people, staff and volunteers is important to us at RefugeeYouth. Throughout the pandemic we have implemented a particular set of operational standards as per the National Youth Agency’s (NYA) guidance which is in accordance with the Government’s COVID-19 guidance.

Currently our rules are as follows:
– face masks encouraged but no longer mandatory in our indoor youth spaces
– face masks should be worn on transport/when travelling in and between public spaces with the group
– social distancing encouraged (1 metre+) but no longer required in our indoor youth spaces
– both face masks and social distancing should be observed in smaller areas or poorly ventilated spaces
– both face masks and social distancing should be observed in close contact activities excluding singing and sports
– hand-washing and hand sanitisation procedures are still firmly in place and highly encouraged at regular intervals for all staff and young people before, during and after sessions.
